how to face your first period

Well starting perio is very new experience for every girl, as girls are shy in natur & have to face a amazing fact of nature so you have to ready to face it...

One day you may be running around with your friends or you may be simply watching the TV when suddenly you feel as though you have to go to the wash room. You may not understand why, because you did not even feel like urinating.

Anyhow, when you get there and you are tidying up, you notice some blood on the toilet tissue and you panicked! You do not understand why you are bleeding there and you are asking yourself, "when did I get hurt there?"

Do not worry, you did not hurt yourself, this is normal. This is a part of being a female and this is supposed to happen.

Sanitary Pad and Underwear

If your Mom or older sister is at home, shout for her and she will bring in a sanitary pad or maybe you will prefer a tampon. A pad is a soft item (you will find it in the personal care section of the store) that is placed on the underwear and it usually sticks to it as well, to keep it from moving. A tampon is also a soft item and it is placed inside the opening of the vagina, but you may need some practice in getting it placed there correctly.

Some girls and women will wear more than one underwear during this time, so as to feel a bit more comfortable with a pad on. It is best to wear the underwear that the pad can stick completely on, that is, without sticking to your clothing.

Away From Home

On the other hand, if you find out that the "big" day has arrived at school, at the shopping mall, or somewhere away from home, look for the closest washroom, if you are not already there.

There are some public washrooms that has pads and, or tampons, for sale. Simply pay the required fee and get one. However, if none of these are available, simply take as much toilet tissue as you can, place it in the underwear and get home as quickly as possible.

Although you may be at school, tell a female teacher whom, you trust, what has happened and telephone your Mom to come to get you. The school's nurse will have some pads in storage and she can give you one or two.

If your Mom and you have talked about this day before, simply follow the agreed plan.

When you get home, drink some water or milk, grab a book or the remote control and take it easy for the rest of the day.

This is a major step into womanhood, congratulations and God's blessings to you.
